Universität Hamburg strives to ensure digital accessibility for people with disabilities. Our goal is to provide a fully accessible website in keeping with the provisions of the Hamburg regulation on establishing accessible information technology for people with disabilities (Hamburgische Barrierefreie Informationstechnik-Verordnung, HmbBITVO) dated 10 September 2019.
The website uses the “WP Accessibility Helper (WAH)” plug-in to enable adjusting to various accessibility needs. Best efforts are made to make the website as accessible as possible.
The verification of compliance with the requirements laid out in EN 301 549 is based on a self-assessment performed by Kaja Scheliga on 16.06.2023. Based on the review, the site is partially to non-compliant with the previously stated requirements due to the following incompatibilities:

If you are unable to find a satisfactory solution, even after providing feedback to the address provided above, you may contact the ombudsperson’s office provided for in Section 13a HmbBGG. This ombudsperson is tasked with fostering an extrajudicial resolution for conflicts between persons with a disability and public offices. The arbitration procedure is free.
